Assessment 221: reading the current composition frontier

12 October 2026. Editorial pass. No mathematical result, native construction or root claim is added.

Reviewed scope and actual fixes

The pass covers the current investigation guide, the public foundations overview, constructions 72–74, the component-directory obstruction, assessments 216–220 and their five executable evidence sources. These are research notes and supporting arguments, with their existing publication significance retained.

  • Repaired missing spaces between prose labels and numbers in the latest checkpoint, program and agenda summaries. Existing headings and anchors are unchanged.
  • Added the bounded-basis frontier and the common-directory obstruction to the current reading table, each with its readable code reference.
  • Linked the four recent research notes to the current guide and two-omission review. Their historical next questions remain visible; the successor links do not imply that those questions were all solved.
  • Split the crowded overview paragraph into the current question, evidence links and the separate fixed-envelope result. The homepage research date and publication order are unchanged.
  • Made the latest audit description name its existing coefficient-cancellation and polynomial-gcd checks. No executable source bytes changed.

The two-omission review still separates the written semantic basis bound, the equality-only selector obstruction, the imported primary arguments and the conditional native consumer. Three committed readers plus one pending reader remain the conditional contract; this is not a new native theorem.

Readable evidence

Research note Readable source
Support components, construction 72 Component and snapshot audit
Common-directory obstruction Directory and splice audit
Fixed envelope, construction 73 Envelope and budget audit
Co-singleton classes, construction 74 Class and negative-query audit
Bounded basis and conditional extension Basis and polynomial audit

Each code reading is generated from its maintained GitLab source, with syntax highlighting, line anchors and an explicit exact raw download. Proof readings use styled HTML and KaTeX. No duplicate hand-maintained listing or primary-paper copy is introduced.

Verification and remaining scope

Rendered text, headings, equation markup, reading links, fragment destinations and the five highlighted source readers are inspected after rebuilding. The integration receipt records the actual scoped checks, line-anchor and byte comparisons, deployment and exact source parity. Editorial verification does not rerun unrelated mathematical or compiler gates; the previously recorded full-suite failures remain unchanged.

Browser viewport inspection is unavailable under the supported Sites workflow. Responsive layout and visual clipping remain unverified. HTML inspection and a passing build are not represented as a browser layout review.

Preserved next mathematical target

Build an input-paid strict-extension test for a committed basis of at most three two-omission rows and one pending row, finishing within the next actual alias. Polynomial gcd avoids root extraction semantically but its arithmetic and short-alias access remain unpaid. Removing the width gate and joining independent stores remain separate.

Scheduled completion advances from 125 to 126 once, for editorial work only. Mathematical count 137, window three, last reassessment 134 and native construction 74 are unchanged. The last primary review remains 220. Next is research completion 127, primary review 130 and editorial 132. Source custody, existing SAT/scaffold frontiers and the separate unverified legacy-writer follow-up are preserved.
