1. Audited theorem
Let be algebraically closed of characteristic zero, let be a supertannakian category over , and let be a finite associative algebra object. Then the six conditions in Coulembier–Sherman, Theorem 3.17, are equivalent:
- absolute flatness;
- internal -vanishing for every finitely presented left module;
- finite product decomposition into simple algebra objects;
- internal semisimplicity;
- absence of nonzero nilpotent two-sided ideal objects; and
- rigidity of the category of finitely presented bimodules.
The two added arrows are
This answers Coulembier–Sherman Question 5.16 affirmatively, subject to the explicit no-external-review qualification.
2. The proof repair found by the audit
The candidate packet incorrectly passed directly from an ideal of a minimal ambient ideal to minimality of . An ideal of need not be an ideal of . The repair is exact.
If is invariant under every derivation of , then it is stable under , hence under the connected supergroup . Its ambient saturation
is a nonzero -stable two-sided ideal of contained in . Minimality gives . Since and ,
Thus , so is differentiably simple in Kac’s sense. This is the only genuinely missing proof step found by the audit.
3. The categorical clarification
The candidate’s separability paragraph was correct in direction but stated too loosely. Internal flatness over the supercenter does not need to imply ordinary flatness against arbitrary nonequivariant modules.
Let be the exact faithful forgetful functor from equivariant modules to super vector spaces. A nonequivariant separability section for makes
a natural retract of
on the category of equivariant -modules. Absolute flatness of makes the second functor exact on every equivariant short exact sequence. Its retract is exact, and reflects exactness. This proves internal -flatness for arbitrary ind-modules without claiming more.

| Exact external target | arXiv:2608.13137v1, dated 13 August 2026, still asks Question 5.16. |
| Connected integration | Survives via the super Harish–Chandra-pair equivalence and connectedness of the even group. |
| Component reduction | Survives: the component orbit sum lies inside the ordinary Jacobson radical, so it is nilpotent. |
| Kac’s nonunital scope | Survives: Proposition 5.1.1 explicitly treats not-necessarily-unital superalgebras and assumes . |
| Differential simplicity | Candidate shortcut failed; the saturation above repairs it. |
| Matrix and queer supercenters | Survive: every simple associative superalgebra has supercenter , so the tensor-product supercenter is coefficientwise . |
| Simple commutative center | Survives: a proper invariant center ideal would generate the proper invariant ideal . |
| Matrix separability | Survives with the fixed-column element ; the averaged Casimir is also valid. |
| Queer separability | Survives using for , then tensoring with . |
| Ind-module scope | Survives through the faithful-forgetful retract, with no finiteness restriction on the tested module. |
| Internal-Hom comparison | Survives because is finite and dualizable, and the exact fiber functor preserves the equalizer imposing -linearity. |
| Finite presentation of | Survives via , with . |
| Priority search | No competing resolution found by exact-phrase and structural searches through 6 September 2026; this is not a proof of priority. |
5. Corrected structural proof
Pass to using the same finite-generation reduction as Coulembier and Sherman, and let . A nilpotent -invariant ideal would produce a nilpotent -invariant ideal by summing its finitely many component translates inside the ordinary Jacobson radical. Thus a minimal nonzero -invariant ideal satisfies .
The saturation argument in Section 2 makes differentiably simple. Kac’s Proposition 5.1.1 gives
Its identity is a central -fixed idempotent of the ambient algebra, so induction decomposes into -simple factors of this form. The component group permutes the factors.
For each factor ,
is canonical, commutative, invariant, and simple as an algebra object. Coulembier and Sherman’s Corollary 6.6 makes absolutely flat. Wall’s matrix/queer classification makes the simple factor separable, and the faithful-forgetful retract transfers absolute flatness from to , then to .
For the other new arrow, if is a nilpotent invariant ideal and , internal -vanishing lifts the identity of the underlying to an even -linear section . With ,
The idempotent lies in the nilpotent ideal , hence vanishes; then .
6. Exact controls
The publication verifier checks, with exact rational arithmetic:
- 144 matrix-unit centrality identities for fixed-column separability elements across the small matrix superalgebras , ;
- the averaged matrix separability element independently;
- the queer separability element;
- the full supercenter of for , with the expected Grassmann dimensions.
These computations catch sign and indexing mistakes. Completeness of the global theorem comes from the written structural proof, not from finite testing.

8. Publication decision
The result answers a recognized open question, so it meets the Lab’s publication threshold. The public statement must retain all of the following boundaries:
- algebraically closed base field;
- characteristic zero;
- finite algebra object ;
- no external specialist review; and
- no asserted priority beyond a negative bounded search.
