1. Audited theorem

Let kk be algebraically closed of characteristic zero, let C\mathscr C be a supertannakian category over kk, and let A∈CA\in\mathscr C be a finite associative algebra object. Then the six conditions in Coulembier–Sherman, Theorem 3.17, are equivalent:

  1. absolute flatness;
  2. internal Ext⁡1\operatorname{Ext}^1-vanishing for every finitely presented left module;
  3. finite product decomposition into simple algebra objects;
  4. internal semisimplicity;
  5. absence of nonzero nilpotent two-sided ideal objects; and
  6. rigidity of the category of finitely presented bimodules.

The two added arrows are

(5)⟹(1),(2)⟹(5). (5)\Longrightarrow(1),\qquad (2)\Longrightarrow(5).

This answers Coulembier–Sherman Question 5.16 affirmatively, subject to the explicit no-external-review qualification.

2. The proof repair found by the audit

The candidate packet incorrectly passed directly from an ideal J◃IJ\triangleleft I of a minimal ambient ideal II to minimality of II. An ideal of II need not be an ideal of AA. The repair is exact.

If J≠0J\ne0 is invariant under every derivation of II, then it is stable under Lie⁡(H)\operatorname{Lie}(H), hence under the connected supergroup HH. Its ambient saturation

AJA AJA

is a nonzero HH-stable two-sided ideal of AA contained in II. Minimality gives AJA=IAJA=I. Since I2=II^2=I and IA=AI=IIA=AI=I,

I=I3=I(AJA)I=IJI⊆J. I=I^3=I(AJA)I=IJI\subseteq J.

Thus J=IJ=I, so II is differentiably simple in Kac’s sense. This is the only genuinely missing proof step found by the audit.

3. The categorical clarification

The candidate’s separability paragraph was correct in direction but stated too loosely. Internal flatness over the supercenter does not need to imply ordinary flatness against arbitrary nonequivariant modules.

Let UU be the exact faithful forgetful functor from equivariant modules to super vector spaces. A nonequivariant separability section for C→BC\to B makes

U(M⊗^B−) U(M\mathbin{\widehat\otimes}_B-)

a natural retract of

U(M⊗^C−) U(M\mathbin{\widehat\otimes}_C-)

on the category of equivariant BB-modules. Absolute flatness of CC makes the second functor exact on every equivariant short exact sequence. Its retract is exact, and UU reflects exactness. This proves internal BB-flatness for arbitrary ind-modules without claiming more.

Bridge Result
Exact external target arXiv:2608.13137v1, dated 13 August 2026, still asks Question 5.16.
Connected integration Survives via the super Harish–Chandra-pair equivalence and connectedness of the even group.
Component reduction Survives: the component orbit sum lies inside the ordinary Jacobson radical, so it is nilpotent.
Kac’s nonunital scope Survives: Proposition 5.1.1 explicitly treats not-necessarily-unital superalgebras and assumes A2≠0A^2\ne0.
Differential simplicity Candidate shortcut failed; the AJAAJA saturation above repairs it.
Matrix and queer supercenters Survive: every simple associative superalgebra has supercenter kk, so the tensor-product supercenter is coefficientwise Λ(V)\Lambda(V).
Simple commutative center Survives: a proper invariant center ideal would generate the proper invariant ideal S⊗^LS\widehat\otimes L.
Matrix separability Survives with the fixed-column element ∑iEir⊗Eri\sum_iE_{ir}\otimes E_{ri}; the averaged Casimir is also valid.
Queer separability Survives using 12(1⊗1+u⊗u)\frac12(1\otimes1+u\otimes u) for Q(1)Q(1), then tensoring with Mn(k)M_n(k).
Ind-module scope Survives through the faithful-forgetful retract, with no finiteness restriction on the tested module.
Internal-Hom comparison Survives because A/RA/R is finite and dualizable, and the exact fiber functor preserves the equalizer imposing AA-linearity.
Finite presentation of A/RA/R Survives via A⊗K→A⊗(A/R)→A/R→0A\otimes K\to A\otimes(A/R)\to A/R\to0, with K∈CK\in\mathscr C.
Priority search No competing resolution found by exact-phrase and structural searches through 6 September 2026; this is not a proof of priority.

5. Corrected structural proof

Pass to Rep⁡fG\operatorname{Rep}^fG using the same finite-generation reduction as Coulembier and Sherman, and let H=G∘H=G^\circ. A nilpotent HH-invariant ideal would produce a nilpotent GG-invariant ideal by summing its finitely many component translates inside the ordinary Jacobson radical. Thus a minimal nonzero HH-invariant ideal II satisfies I2=II^2=I.

The saturation argument in Section 2 makes II differentiably simple. Kac’s Proposition 5.1.1 gives

I≅S⊗^Λ(V). I\cong S\widehat\otimes\Lambda(V).

Its identity is a central HH-fixed idempotent of the ambient algebra, so induction decomposes AA into HH-simple factors of this form. The component group permutes the factors.

For each factor BB,

C=Zs(B)=Λ(V) C=Z_s(B)=\Lambda(V)

is canonical, commutative, invariant, and simple as an algebra object. Coulembier and Sherman’s Corollary 6.6 makes CC absolutely flat. Wall’s matrix/queer classification makes the simple factor SS separable, and the faithful-forgetful retract transfers absolute flatness from CC to BB, then to AA.

For the other new arrow, if RR is a nilpotent invariant ideal and M=A/RM=A/R, internal Ext⁡1\operatorname{Ext}^1-vanishing lifts the identity of the underlying MM to an even AA-linear section s:M→As:M\to A. With e=s(1+R)e=s(1+R),

e2=e,e≡1(modR),Re=0. e^2=e,\qquad e\equiv1\pmod R,\qquad Re=0.

The idempotent 1−e1-e lies in the nilpotent ideal RR, hence vanishes; then R=Re=0R=Re=0.

6. Exact controls

The publication verifier checks, with exact rational arithmetic:

  • 144 matrix-unit centrality identities for fixed-column separability elements across the small matrix superalgebras M(p∣q)M(p|q), 0≤p,q≤20\le p,q\le2;
  • the averaged matrix separability element independently;
  • the queer separability element;
  • the full supercenter of Q(1)⊗^Λ(kn)Q(1)\widehat\otimes\Lambda(k^n) for 0≤n≤30\le n\le3, with the expected Grassmann dimensions.

These computations catch sign and indexing mistakes. Completeness of the global theorem comes from the written structural proof, not from finite testing.

7. Sources and intellectual credit

The combination of these ingredients, the ambient saturation lemma, and the faithful-forgetful transfer is the FPRD Lab contribution. It has no external review.

8. Publication decision

The result answers a recognized open question, so it meets the Lab’s publication threshold. The public statement must retain all of the following boundaries:

  • algebraically closed base field;
  • characteristic zero;
  • finite algebra object A∈CA\in\mathscr C;
  • no external specialist review; and
  • no asserted priority beyond a negative bounded search.
