Exact audit for the empty-sector Dehn-filling obstruction
8 September 2026

Command:
python3 verify-empty-sector-obstruction.py

Output:
symbolic quotient identity: tr(U G U G^-1) = 2 - c^2
determinant relation used exactly: ad - bc = 1
boundary-character identities checked exactly: 324
all exact checks passed

Command:
python3 verify-peripheral-filling-base-change.py

Output:
product-to-sum identities checked: 64
SL(2,Z) covariance checks: 5
classical meridian relation: K_s + 2 = s^(-1)(s+1)^2
classical framing relation: K_(rho+s) + K_rho = (s+1)(rho+rho^(-1)s^(-1))
first classical support size: 3
second classical support size: 4
all exact checks passed

Interpretation:
The first script checks the matrix identity and the exact boundary-character
agreement used by Theorem 2.1 of the companion note. The second checks the
ordinary empty-sector slope ideal. These computations do not establish
ordinary-skein excision, generic-parameter nonvanishing, or a filled 3D
quantum trace.

Runtime dependencies: Python 3 standard library only.
